At the forefront of innovation, BlueBotics, a provider of natural feature navigation technology and a division of ZAPI GROUP, showcased its ANT (Advanced Network Technology) protocols at MODEX 2024.
BlueBotics plays a central role in connecting and coordinating various components within an ecosystem of interoperable autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). Their engineering team gave a live demo at MODEX 2024 - going on now (March 11 - 14)- at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
The live demonstration featured six different brands of vehicles, all managed by BlueBotics' ANT server fleet management software. This included everything from a full-size counterbalanced forklift AGV to a small turn-on-the-spot AMR and even a floor cleaning robot. Brands in the mix included AND&OR, Bastian Solutions, Cleanfix, FlexQube, Kivnon, and Oceaneering Mobile Robotics.
In addition to the live demo, BlueBotics hosted a session on the evolving global usage of automated vehicles based on their first-ever AGV/AMR usage survey. This fascinating session covered an array of topics, including the evolution of AGV/AMR fleets in different regions, the most popular vehicle types, fears users have when adopting this technology, and how companies measure the success of their mobile robotics investments.
